Bansi Kaul ((カシミール語:बंसी कौल (Devanagari), بنسی کول (Nastaleeq))) (born 1949) is a Hindi theatre director and the founder of Rang Vidushak, a theatre group and Theatre institute in Bhopal.〔(`Laughter is a celebration' ) ''The Hindu'', Jan 24, 2006]〕
==Biography==
Bansi Kaul was born August 23, 1949 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir,〔(Bansi Kaul at culturebase )〕 and later graduated from National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi in 1973.
He started his career as a director with NSD Repertory Company〔(NSD Annual Report )〕 and was also in the faculty of the school for many years, before forming his own theatre group in 1984.
He was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, given by Sangeet Natak Akademi, India's National Academy of Music, Dance and Drama, in 1995, and the Padma Shri by Government of India in 2014.
His most known performance is 'Kehan Kabir', based on collected works of poet-saint Kabir.〔(The Tribune, April 14, 2004 )〕
